We’re here to say that Kan Jam is a good example of how American manufacturing can be successful and compete with overseas competition. When we first started our company in 2006 it was presumed by many that our Kan Jam game was manufactured in China. After all, wasn’t every sporting good and game item made there? People were surprised to hear that we could manufacture a product made from plastic here in the USA and make it better and less expensive. The first reaction from many business people to producing a new product today is…"Let’s get it get sourced in China". This is wrong…and for many reasons! Kan Jam is proof that good old fashion American ingenuity, technology and working as a team with your suppliers can get it done.
It was 6 short years ago that we were assembling games in the evening on a pool table in the basement and then going to the post office to ship the next morning. Today Kan Jam is sold in over 3,500 retail locations and growing and played in over 2,100 schools as gym curriculum across the USA. We have even done a little exporting ourselves overseas.
So yes we know not every item and product can be made here, but we do know that it is possible and often times likely that you can make it better, faster, and more profitable here in the good ole’ USA!
